Dharmendra Pradhan Education and Skill Development Minister launched AI for India 2.0. Education and Skill Development Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan launched AI for India 2.0, on the special occasion of World Youth Skills Day.
Hon’ble Minister of Education and Skill Development, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan launched AI for India 2.0, a free online training programme on Artificial Intelligence, on the occasion of World Youth Skills’ Day on 15 July 2023. The training program is a joint initiative of Skill India and GUVI, which is an IIT Madras incubated startup tech platform that enables tech learning in different languages. This programme has been developed in nine Indian languages.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan called for technology courses in Indian languages. He said technology should not be a prisoner of language. He added that this is a good beginning towards dismantling the language barrier in technology education and future-proofing nation’s Yuva Shakti, particularly in rural areas. He added that India is a technology-savvy country and the success story in the adoption of digital payments in India is a case in point.
The course is available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Marathi, Gujarati.

The official website of GUVI mentions “An exclusive 1-day virtual tech skill development event launched by GUVI(an IIT-M & IIM-A incubated EdTech) in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship of India, to upgrade the tech skill sets of the Youth, such as college students, freshly graduated & early professionals of India with innovative AI & ML skills. The participants of #AIforIndia will get free access to GUVI’s premium course as a part of the preparation from 15 July 2023 to attend the Grand 1-day virtual event on 15 August 2023.”
