Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan renamed as Amrit Udyan

Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan renamed as Amrit Udyan. The Mughal Gardens at the Rashtrapati Bhava is renamed as Amrit Udyan. According to an official statement, The Amrit Udyan would open to the public from January 31, 2023.

The iconic Mughal Gardens at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi will now be called as ‘Amrit Udyan’. The gardens at the President’s official home, Rashtrapati Bhavan have been renamed as part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations.

According to an official statement, Amrit Udyan would open to the public from January 31, 2023. It will remain open till March 26, 2023. Visitors must note that it will remain closed on Mondays which are maintenance days and on March 8 on account of Holi.

Hon’ble President Droupadi Murmu will grace the opening of the gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan, Udyan Utsav 2023, on Sunday.

Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan renamed as Amrit Udyan

Last year Delhi’s Rajpath was renamed as ‘Kartavya Path’. The renaming is in line with the Centre’s effort to remove any trace of a colonial mindset.

Every Indian must know that ” The Rashtrapati Bhavan is home to a rich variety of gardens. Originally, they included East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden. During the term of former Presidents Dr A P J Abdul Kalam and Shri Ram Nath Kovind, more gardens were developed, namely, Herbal-I, Herbal-II, Tactile Garden, Bonsai Garden and Arogya Vanam,”.
